Description:
DESCRIPTION
Joining the advisory team for Australia in our Sydney/Melbourne office, you will collaborate with our clients to help accelerate the energy transition. You will play a key role in all aspects of client engagement: helping identify issues, forming hypotheses, conducting analysis, and synthesizing conclusions into recommendations, while also managing workstreams and projects and driving internal initiatives.
You will be an important senior member of the Australian advisory practice and expected to have experience in the energy markets (ideally in power), either at a consultancy, government body, or industry. Prior experience in supporting and managing a team will be a plus.
You will work in a dynamic, co-operative, and high performing yet supportive and inclusive environment. You will enjoy being trusted with finding solutions, the opportunity to substantially influence significant progress in the energy sector, and to grow into an industry expert under the guidance of Principals with deep experience addressing major strategic issues at the world’s most trusted advisory firms.
Responsibilities:
As an Advisory Project Leader/Principal in the Sydney/Melbourne Office, you will be responsible for:
- Leadership: You will balance the delivery of commissioned projects with supporting, coaching and inspiring teams of analysts and energy modelers such that they continuously exemplify Aurora’s values, improve their performance capability and develop to their full potential.
- Project delivery: You will develop a clear and detailed understanding of the client’s business and expectations, scoping projects and managing them to time and budget. You will also oversee multiple projects simultaneously, providing both internal and external stakeholders with the orientation they need in critical project phases and situations. You will ensure optimal delivery on clients’ expectations, including collaborating with project teams to deliver a suitable approach, oversee complex problem-solving, ensuring independent, high quality, rigorous quantitative analysis, interpretation and communication of data insights.
- Developing new consulting business: You will contribute to building and growing close client relationships, and as their trusted advisor, you are the first to whom they turn. Additionally, you will acquire new clients and projects, collaborating with internal stakeholders to respond successfully to inbound requests for proposals, by identifying opportunities through establishing and deepening client relationships and building your external profile as a thought leader within the energy ecosystem. You will help with developing new business areas that will contribute to the rapid growth plans of the Australian practice in the coming years.
