Status: Part Time Hourly                      FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt Summary of the Position:  This is an hourly, part-time position providing mentorship and advocacy for youth and families throughout Portland, South Portland, Westbrook, and Biddleford. * The ideal candidate will be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in community, school, and home settings. * The Primary responsibilities of the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families. * All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.      * This position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay, mileage ($0.50/mile), and activity reimbursement. Hourly Rate: $21 per hour Qualifications/Requirements: * Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent is required. * Prior experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.  * Experience working with at-risk youth * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer skills is highly preferred; knowledge of electronic health record systems (EHR) is a plus. * CPR/First Aid Certification is a plus * Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) is a plus. * Position requires reliable transportation, driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage.
