  • 2 x full time maximum term positions up to 12 months (part time considered)
  • This role is a parental leave backfill position
  • Salary range: $86,436 - $101,868 (pro rata) plus super plus salary packaging
  • Up to $15,900 in salary packaging and hybrid WFH & office model

Responsibilities

This diverse administrative role will encompass a range of responsibilities including:

  • Coordinating and processing briefing requests to internal and external advocates.
  • Supporting the day-to-day operations of Chambers and working closely with the Senior Advocates Clerks and Briefing Manager.
  • Managing a central diary and mailbox, coordinating conferences, preparing correspondence and billing between VLA Chambers advocates, legal practitioners and assignments.
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of Chambers’ policies and procedures and will ensure all Public Defenders and Advocates adhere to these by providing regular inductions and refreshers.

These roles are based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country.
