THE OPPORTUNITY

ASIO is seeking to fill a number of paralegal roles within our Legal Services Division. Our Legal Services Division is a busy, fast-paced practice with a supportive and collegiate culture.
Successful applicants will work alongside our lawyers and other professionals to support a range of tasks associated with litigation, legal advice and operational support.
A merit pool may be created to fill future vacancies which have the same or similar requirements to this position. This merit pool will be valid for up to 18 months.

Responsibilities

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Paralegal Officer in ASIO, you will:

  • Provide administrative support to the Division and liaising with clients and stakeholders.
  • Draft legal documentation and other correspondence.
  • Assist with case management and document preparation.
  • Conduct research and analysis of legal issues to support lawyers and other professionals in Legal Services Division.

To be eligible for the role, you must be:

  • An Australian citizen.
  • Assessed as suitable to hold and maintain a TOP SECRET-Privileged Access security clearance
