SUMMARY:

As the lead of UMGC’s Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) development team, the AEM Technical Architect directs design, development, and implementation efforts of the website for University of Maryland Global Campus. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AEM and related technologies and a proven track record of delivering high-quality digital experiences. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the university’s digital presence and support recruitment and retention efforts through enhancing digital customer engagement.
The Technical Architect must be a highly motivated, quality driven, development leader and will oversee development efforts for the team. While strategic thinking and coordination are important elements of this role, the Technical Architect will be required to take a very hands-on role with design and development and other related activities.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in AEM architecture and development, with a strong portfolio of successful implementations.
  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in developing web solutions.
  • Proficiency in AEM 6. x and above, including Sites, Assets, and Forms modules.
  • Proficiency in AEM authoring, publishing, and digital asset management.
  • Experience integrating AEM with other systems, such as CRM, ERP, and marketing automation platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies.
  • Experience with AEM integrations (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD.
  • Adobe Experience Manager credentials/certifications preferred.
