Description
The Grenada Airports Authority (GAA) invites applications from suitably qualified individuals for the position of Aeronautical Information Service Cadet at the Maurice Bishop International Airport (MBIA). This entry-level role provides an exciting opportunity to launch a career in aviation services, with specialized training to become a certified AIS Officer. Key Responsibilities: Assist in collecting, verifying, and disseminating aeronautical information following ICAO standards. Support the preparation and distribution of Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs). Process and transmit messages for flight operations, including delays and cancellations. Assist in managing documentation such as General Declarations, movement sheets, and flight plans. Monitor specialized systems such as SPATIA and CADAS, reporting faults or irregularities. Assist with collecting fees related to airline operations (landing, parking, navigation, etc.). Maintain accurate shift logs and reports, including daily reconciliations. Support administrative tasks within the AIS office. Five (5) CXC/CSEC passes (Grade 3 or above), including English Language, Mathematics, and Physics. Willingness and ability to travel overseas for required training. Knowledge of a foreign language is an asset. Strong communication skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Commitment to learning and professional development. Team-oriented with a proactive mindset. Must possess a clean character certificate. Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance.
Responsibilities
