Description Ascentec Engineering is hiring Aerospace Assembly Technicians to join our team in Dallas, Oregon! Come join our fast-growing team working on some of the most advanced spaceflight hardware in the world. We are looking for talented people to work on challenging aerospace assemblies for commercial spaceflight. These roles require attention to detail and a keen ability to understand complex spacecraft parts. Consistently delivering high-quality work and demonstrating exceptional dexterity in assembling precision-machined parts sets top candidates apart. This role requires strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. It offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with solid mechanical aptitude, as well as the chance to grow within a company experience exciting expansion. Shifts available: Day Shift: Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Swing Shift: Monday through Friday, 4 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Weekend Day Shift: Friday through Sunday, 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Please note that the swing and weekend day shifts offer an industry-leading shift differential. All persons hired for the off-shift roles will be required to train on the day shift for a minimum of six weeks. This position is onsite (not remote/not hybrid) at our Dallas, Oregon facility and is not eligible for Visa sponsorship or transfer of Visa sponsorship. Requirements Position Requirements: Experience working with precision machined parts assembly in the aerospace, automotive, medical or electronics industry or similar. Ability to read and understand customer specifications, blueprints and drawings. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook. Ability to use precision measurement devices: calipers, micrometers, pin gages, thread plug gages etc. High School Diploma or GED Valid Driver’s License Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for an extended period of time A&P license is not required The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily and, if requested, reasonable accommodations will be made to enable employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job, absent undue hardship. Skills or Experience Preferred: Experience gained from the military or from an aviation manufacturing company preferred. Precision assembly of parts and installation of hardware with primers or sealant. Ability to handle parts with delicate surface finishes. Experience installing key-locking inserts, standoffs & helicoils is a plus. Surface preparation for adhesive sealing or bonding. Understanding of aerospace hardware installation (blind rivets, Hi-loks, nut plates etc.). Automotive assembly or repair experience, electro-mechanical assembly or clean room assembly experience are all plusses. Experience operating laser-marking machines.
