We are seeking a motivated Aerospace Estimator to join our team and support daily operations while meeting customer and regulatory requirements. Position Summary The Aerospace Manufacturing Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and timely cost estimates for complex aerospace components and assemblies. This position requires strong technical knowledge of precision machining, aerospace materials, special processes, and quality requirements, as well as collaboration across Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Review customer RFQs, engineering drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements. Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor hours, materials, tooling, fixturing, and outside processing. Develop manufacturing routings and cost models using ERP/MRP systems (JobBOSS preferred). Coordinate material and outside special process (OSP) pricing and lead times with approved suppliers. Identify technical, cost, and schedule risks and clearly document assumptions. Support bid/no-bid decisions and management reviews. Ensure estimates reflect aerospace quality requirements including AS9100, FAI, inspection, and documentation. Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to assess manufacturability and capacity. Support customer clarification requests and technical discussions as required. Maintain historical pricing data and support continuous improvement of estimating accuracy. Qualifications Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing estimating. Strong understanding of CNC machining, aerospace materials, and manufacturing processes. Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T. Experience with ERP/MRP systems (JobBOSS preferred). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost analysis tools. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with turbine engine components, housings, or brazed/welded assemblies. Manufacturing engineering or machinist background. Familiarity with aerospace customers and specifications (AMS, ASTM, MIL). Knowledge of heat treat, welding, brazing, and special process controls.
