Job Details Job Location: Aerospace Flight Testing Center - AFTC - Moses lake, WA 98837 Position Type: Contractor AeroTEC provides comprehensive, full-service aerospace services and solutions to customers in aircraft design, testing, instrumentation, certification, manufacturing, modifications and maintenance with facilities in Seattle, Moses Lake, and Wichita. AeroTEC’s AC & Test Site Ops Department provides operational and facility requirements to support Fabrication, Aircraft Maintenance, Quality, Flight Test Instrumentation Installation & removal, and site safety (EH&S/SMS). The AC & Test Site Ops Division is responsible for providing resources and facilities for aircraft maintenance, quality, manufacturing, instrumentation installation and equipment to support customer requirements. The Aerospace Fabricator is responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and repairing precision aerospace components and structures according to engineering drawings, specifications, and strict quality standards. This role requires high attention to detail, technical skill, and compliance with aerospace safety and regulatory requirements. Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions): Fabricate aerospace components using metals, composites, and alloys. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. Cut, form, machine, drill, and assemble parts to precise tolerances. Operate fabrication equipment such as presses, brakes, saws, CNC machines, and hand tools. Perform riveting, bonding, fastening, and fitting of aerospace assemblies. Inspect completed parts for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications. Maintain documentation for work performed per aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100). Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area. Collaborate with engineers, quality inspectors, and production teams. Identify and report defects, deviations, or process improvements. Qualifications Level Requirements (Minimum): High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training preferred). Minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace, aviation, or precision manufacturing. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications. Proficiency with hand tools and fabrication equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Basic math and measurement skills (including calipers and micrometers). Preferred Qualifications Experience with aerospace materials (aluminum, titanium, composites). Familiarity with AS9100, FAA, or aerospace quality standards. Welding, sheet metal, or composite fabrication experience. CNC machine operation experience. Ability to work in a regulated manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Work Environment Manufacturing or production floor. Exposure to machinery, noise, and fabrication materials.
