Description

Supreme Gear Company is a leading manufacturer of precision gears and machined components for the aerospace and defense industries and is looking for an Engineer with Master Cam programming experience to support plant set-ups, operator issues, and engineering department.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Reading and interpretation of blueprints; technical drawings; and specifications
  • Improving manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction; quality improvement; and efficiency
  • Performing research and design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow; assembly methods; and production equipment
  • Creation of CNC program & Set up instructions for upcoming jobs
  • Review of tooling and gaging necessary to complete jobs
  • Choosing cutting tools needed for programs
  • Confirming operators’ understanding of set-up issues
  • Regular follow-up with operators to address issues and support processes
  • Represent manufacturing on cross-functional teams
  • Compliance with all safety rules and regulations

Qualifications include:

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree
  • Experience programming in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience programming in Master Cam
  • Ability to set-up and operate CNC machines preferred
  • Precision Gear experience a plus
  • AutoCAD experience a plus
  • Experience with Fanuc & Mazatrol Controllers a Plus
  • DNC a plus
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • US Citizenship

Salary negotiable dependent upon knowledge and experience.
