In this role, you will provide leadership and supervision to the staff in the Application Support Center (ASC) Quality department within the PPG Aerospace business unit. You will plan, organize and manage the department to support operations to meet customer requirements. Efficiently develop and utilize people, equipment, and budget to meet SBU requirements for safety, environment, quality, and business plan. This position interacts frequently with customers, suppliers, and auditors. This position is responsible for assuring that the department activities are aligned towards supporting the goals, mission, and business strategies of the ASC network, PPG Aerospace, and PPG.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Only U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, and political asylees or refugees are eligible to apply.
• Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or equivalent, or ASQ Certification in Quality Technology, Quality Management or Quality Engineering
• 5+ years of relevant quality experience required
• Prior leadership experience required
• AS9100 Lead Auditor Certificate preferred
• Experience in statistical quality control and/or SPC, audit prep, and RCCA

• Management representative for the ASC Quality Management System
• Manage the ASC’s compliance to NADCAP, AS9100 and customer audit requirements
• Facilitate customer Process Control Document (PCD) reviews, audits and assessments
• Manage ASC quality lab activities and personnel
• Member of the ASC leadership team (EHS LT, process improvement, LEAN)
• Facilitate problem solving and corrective actions using LEAN/Six sigma methodologies
• Manage customer complaints using PPG standard systems
• Drive improvements throughout the organization using Root Cause Correction Action (RCCA) processes
• Provide input for customer contractual quality requirements
• Work with other departments to develop work instructions, SOPs, and other documentation as required
