Georgous Aesthetic Bar in Kansas City, MO is offering a competitive Aesthetic Medical Assistant Internship for Medical Assistants or unlicensed nursing students looking to kickstart their careers in the aesthetics industry. This paid internship provides valuable exposure to both the clinical and administrative aspects of aesthetic medicine, equipping interns with the skills and knowledge to excel in this dynamic field. Program Details: Duration: 6-9 months Hours: 25 hours per week Pay: $15/hour Schedule: Flexible; tailored to fit around your schedule and commitments Dress Code: Black scrubs Eligibility: Must have an interest in pursuing a career as a Medical Assistant Transition Opportunity: This role does come with the potential of converting to a full-time permanent position depending on performance and practice needs Key Responsibilities: Prepare patients for treatment, assist clinicians during procedures, and ensure rooms are properly set up and maintained. Manage patient flow, check-ins, scheduling, and charting to ensure efficiency and a smooth clinic experience. Educate patients on pre- and post-treatment care, costs, and available procedures, both in person and over the phone. Capture professional before-and-after photos and maintain accurate, timely documentation in all software systems. Support the front desk and business operations as needed, providing prompt, friendly, and professional communication. Continue developing consultative sales, product knowledge, and treatment expertise to support patient conversions and satisfaction. Participate in ongoing training, shadow procedures, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment, techniques, and safety protocols. Conduct phlebotomy and prepare botulinum toxin (after 3 months of training). Contribute to marketing initiatives, including managing or assisting with social media content creation.
