QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Two or more years’ experience within the Freight Forwarding Industry.
• 5 GCSEs including Maths and English at Grade C or above – or equivalent desirable.
• Experience of HMRC procedures.
• Commercial awareness.
• Clear and concise communication skills (written and spoken).
• Ability to follow processes with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to support a culture of continuous improvement.
• Inter-personal skills - Influencing, communication, relationship management, cultural awareness and ability to work across teams.
• Knowledge of Freight Forwarding industry and related processes

• Develop relationships with customers internal/external to grow existing business
• Liaise with airlines and DHL offices. Air freight planning and coordination
• Maintain mandatory milestones through the Company’s Freight Forwarding system
• Use Company systems to create, manage and maintain the movement of freight
• Ensure all customer enquiries are responded to promptly and professionally
• Adhere to Customs Compliance procedures and documentation
• Using quoteshop and following up on opportunities until business gained
