Job Details Job Location: 6128 168TH PLACE SE - BELLEVUE, WA 98006 Position Type: Part Time - Non-Benefit Eligible Education Level: High School Salary Range: $26.25 - $26.25 Hourly Job Category: Auxiliary Programs, Athletics & Summer Programs After Care Assistant Open Window School is looking for a creative collaborator to join our team for the remainder of the 2025-26 school year as a staff member of The Student Hub! You will be on campus from 3:00-6:00 in this after school program supporting K-8 students who attend our school. Occasional opportunities for additional hours providing child-care will arise throughout the year during conferences and family events. These hours are generally outside of normal working hours for this position. Hours outside of normal working hours are not required. The successful candidate will report to the Auxiliary Programs Manager and be part of a team of four. Major Areas of Responsibility/Specific Duties: Assisting with all aspects of The Student Hub (Open Window School’s K-4 and 5-8 after care program) including setting up and closing the hub daily, practicing all safety protocols put in place by the school, running indoor and outdoor activities, serving snack, checking students in and out of our care, interacting with families, and fostering a strong community throughout our Student Hub. Responsible for leading a new game or activity (of your own creation or from another source) each week to help ensure that there is a diverse group of activities available to students. Reinforcing the importance of the Bobcat Virtues that guide our school community and celebrating students when they display these virtues. Bobcats are kind, inclusive, respectful and responsible. Meeting students where they are each day that they join the Student Hub. Proactively engaging students through conversation and play for the duration of their time in the Student Hub. Remaining aware of and available to all students and families who come to the hub, even if focusing on a small group. Exercising good organization and stewardship of program supplies, setting solid and reason-based expectations for our students regarding their use of program resources, and working with the Auxiliary Programs Manager in ordering supplies for the program. Providing the Auxiliary Programs Manager with regular feedback regarding student behavior in the program. Open Window School supports the whole child. To participate in this approach, the Auxiliary Program partners with the Student Support Task force to ensure that each student receives the kind of support they need. Feedback provided by team members helps to inform decisions of the task force. Working with the Auxiliary Programs Manager and Auxiliary Programs Director to ensure all components of the Student Hub follow appropriate school guidelines. Acting as a liaison with parents. Other duties as needed and assigned. Qualifications Qualities & Qualifications: Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students. Well-qualified candidates will have completed courses towards earning, or have earned, an associate or bachelor’s degree. Excellent cultural competency, willing and able to excel in working with multiple groups of people from diverse backgrounds. Maintain cordial, flexible, and professional relationships with colleagues and families. Ability to work independently, collegially, and collaboratively. Positive team member with a growth mindset. Maintain current First Aid/CPR qualifications (Open Window will pay for training if you do not have a current qualification).
