The After-Hours Hospital Coordinator is a pivotal member of the health care team providing after hours’ leadership and management of the nursing team and hospital. We specialise in fostering a dynamic, team-based environment, which is reflected in the best clinical care and warm caring environment. As an After-Hours Hospital Coordinator, you will: · Supervise safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards · Provide leadership across the facility. · Support and liaise with the respective Nurse Unit Manager(s) and heads of departments · Ensure all areas are staffed according to patient acuity and appropriate skill mix · Coordinate patient admissions · Oversee the safety of all patients and hospital staff · Manage multiple tasks and allocate resources appropriately The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate the following: · Current unconditional AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse · Recent experience with the coordination and allocation of human resources within identified KPI’s · A high degree of computer literacy including MS Office and Patient Management Software · Strong communication and interpersonal skills with advanced problem solving and decision making abilities to ensure excellence in patient centred care and customer service · Be a role model for safe practice and commitment to quality patient care · Ability to apply the National Safety and Quality Health Service standards to clinical decision making · Understanding of Private Hospital Funding Models · Well-developed leadership skills including mentorship and coaching of a multi-disciplinary workforce · The ability establish and maintain rapport with external referral providers · The ability to act in a professional manner at all times when dealing with patients, their families and colleagues · The ability to manage special projects and selected portfolios · Current ALS Certification Nepean Private Hospital, where doing what you love means more Nepean Private Hospital is located in the multi-cultural Western Sydney City of Penrith.
