Responsibilities
  • Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in management and/or extensive post-graduate clinical and management experience in the acute health care setting.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills demonstrating motivation, delegation, negotiation and knowledge with clinical experience of evidence based acute health assessment, treatment and care.
  • Proven ability to provide leadership, manage resources and drive change effectively with a demonstrated commitment to professional development
  • Computer literacy including working knowledge of staff scheduling systems HealthRoster
  • Understanding of and commitment to ETP, bed management/patient flow objectives in an acute health setting, with the ability to resolve complex problems in a timely manner and demonstrate knowledge and skills in the use of information technology systems to support bed management and Patient Flow
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage complex, competing and challenging situations, including clinical and corporate risk in a timely manner
  • High level verbal and written communication, negotiation, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to act as a change agent and lead organisational change in patient care, with knowledge of current nursing practice at a local, national and international level.
