To support Catholic Healthcare’s Residential Aged Care operations and centralised Workforce Planning team, we have 2 new ongoing permanent part time opportunities for highly organised, experienced and proactive After-Hours Rostering Coordinators.

  • Position 1 (25hrs pw) 8am – 4pm Sat & Sun, 4.30pm – 10pm Mon & Tues
  • Position 2 (15hrs pw) 4.30pm – 10pm Wed, Thurs & Fri

Based at a Catholic Healthcare Residential Aged Care site located closest to your residential home after an initial training day at Macquarie Park Head Office. Subsequent training will be provided via MS Teams.
Reporting to the Workforce Rostering Specialist, you will manage after hours rostering including the coordination and utilisation of the casual workforce, ensuring rostering principles are followed to maintain a high standard of support to the business and care for our residents.
Your strong and effective communication and interpersonal skills together with the ability to positively influence minimising absenteeism and accurately assess the level of urgency to backfill, will be critical to your success.

Your days will include;

  • Managing absentee calls from employees, shift bidding and proactively making outbound calls to employees
  • Coordinating the casual workforce to promote utilisation - maintaining availability, addressing gaps
  • Ensuring clear communication of shift expectations and escalation procedures
  • Sourcing replacements for all unplanned leave shifts ensuring all shifts are filled with suitable employees
  • Recording after hours rosters changes within the rostering software - Humanforce
  • Supporting Residential Aged Care to fill all other types of unfilled shifts (planned leave)
  • Reviewing and considering employee working rights and limits when replacing shifts
  • Ensuring all employees within the roster have full compliance
  • Providing training and guidance to employee on how to access rosters and apply for leave
  • Responding to inquiries, documenting key decisions, engaging stakeholders for input on rostering needs, and identifying recurring coverage gaps for escalation

The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail have a curious and process driven approach, and an analytical solution focussed mindset. Additionally, you will have;

  • Completion of relevant tertiary qualifications (eg. Diploma of Business Administration) or Experience working in a similar administrative rostering/scheduler role
  • Good understanding of Enterprise Agreements or Modern Awards (Aged Care Award and Nurses Award)
  • Previous experience using a rostering time and attendance system (Humanforce preferred)
  • Previous experience generating and interpreting data reports
  • Demonstrated experience working in a similar rostering/scheduler role
  • Competent using computer systems, including Microsoft Office and Teams
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi- disciplinary team
  • Ability to commit to an ongoing part time position
  • Willingness to obtain a Police Check
