DESCRIPTION

Summary: Activity Specialist responsible for helping participants grow artistically.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing, teaching & maintaining scheduled Activities.
  • Responsible for helping participants develop in arts and crafts.
  • Organizing Arts and Crafts exhibitions.
  • Engage participants in the arts to help build skills that would help them express themselves.
  • Develop and maintain arts, theater, music, dance and poetry, jewelry making, and paper mâché.
  • Organize and create art exhibitions, dance routines, theater presentations, music recitals, and poetry jams.
  • Assist with the recruitment and retention of participants.
  • Maintain site bulletin boards and produce flyers for events.
  • Organize and create program performance costumes.
  • Accompany participants on art, theater, and dance-related trips.
  • Maintain daily attendance for all courses
  • Co-facilitate Parent Meetings
  • Ensure the cleanliness and presence of all of the space used by the program participant
  • Responsible for keeping the Program Director informed of any changes and abnormalities that may occur.
  • Submit weekly reports to the Program Director on a timely basis.
  • Attend all program staff meetings, trainings, and special events.
  • Assist other staff when needed
  • Other duties as assigned.
