The Philadelphia School (TPS) is looking for an Art Coordinator in our After School Enrichment Program (ASEP) to create and implement an engaging art curriculum that encourages imagination, exploration, and creative expression in a fun and supportive environment. What you will do: Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Auxiliary Programs, the ASEP Art Coordinator is responsible for designing meaningful art lessons that complement the student’s learning during the school day. You’ll work closely with ASEP staff to ensure each student’s artistic journey is rich and empowering. You will also be a role model exhibiting our school’s values including excellence, collaboration, innovation, professionalism, and respect. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Creating and implementing engaging, age-appropriate art curriculum and projects. Collaborating with ASEP staff to ensure themes and projects are aligned and cohesive. Organizing materials, managing art stations, and maintaining a creative and structured classroom environment. Displaying student artwork in designated public areas monthly. Participating in curriculum planning and special event preparation, including summer program planning. You’ll be an excellent fit if you: Have an Associate’s degree (or higher) in a related field. Bring at least 2 years of teaching experience and a strong interest in working with children. Thrive in a collaborative, student-centered, creative environment. Communicate clearly, stay organized, and are able to juggle multiple priorities. Can lift up to 20 lbs and are comfortable with active, hands-on work Have experience in curriculum development or program coordination. Are familiar with Apple software and digital tools. Possess a knowledge of and experience with crafts, textiles, drawing, painting, or mixed media. Additional Details This is a part-time Monday - Friday (or designated schedule) position. Hours are 3:00pm-6:00pm through June. Pay rate is $15 - 20 per hour, depending on education and experience.
