QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

• Experience working with children in a school or after-school setting
• Training in child care or education
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing circumstances
• First Aid and Safeguarding training

  WORKING HOURS Monday through Friday from 11.00 am to 5.00pm.

JOB PURPOSE

To assist in the delivery of a high quality after-school programme, providing a safe, engaging and fun environment for pupils, while supporting the Team Lead and other staff members.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

The After school Programme Assistant will support the planning, supervision and delivery of activities, homework help and care for pupils attending the After school programme.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in planning and delivering activities, games and crafts
• Support pupils with homework and reading tasks
• Supervise pupils during activities, snacks and outdoor play
• Ensure student safety and supervision.
• Assist with behaviour management and conflict resolution
• Maintain accurate records and reports
• Support the Team Lead with administrative tasks and programme preparation
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive programme.
• Encourage positive behaviour
• Prepare and maintain activity resources
• ensure students are safely picked up by authorized individuals.
• Support students’ social and emotional wellbeing.
