AFTER SCHOOL ENERGY YOUTH LEADERS Cover letter and resume must be attached with application. Hours: 9-10 hours per week Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Wednesday – 12:45 p.m.-3:15 p.m., 1 p.m.-3:30 p.m., 1:35-3:55 p.m. depending on school Program runs September 15, 2025 – May 29, 2026 Hourly rate: $18.25 per hour These positions are open until filled. Duties: Under the direction of the Youth and Teen Manager and Program Coordinator, Youth Leaders plan, organize and lead daily activities for children grades K-5th. After school programs consist of approximately 20-30 participants and 3 staff members. Activities include group games, competitions, sports, arts and crafts. Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 16 years of age. Applicants are subject to a position-relevant background check. Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year or more of experience working with children in a recreation, teaching or day camp environment; knowledge of age appropriate athletic and social activities, and other large group activities for children between 6-12 years old; ability to live by Kent Parks mission of “Dedicated to Enriching Lives” and demonstrate the following characteristics: responsible, respectful, honest, energetic, passionate, flexible, original, creative, dependable, thoughtful.
