Program Coordinator
20+ hours per week – 1 part time position available
September 2025 – June 2026
(Monday to Friday and must be available to work 2:00 – 6:30 p.m.)
BGC London is focused on supporting comprehensive After School Programming (ASP) where school-age children can benefit from new or enhanced programs focused on physical activity, healthy eating and nutrition, wellness and personal health education.
The ASP program coordinator will be responsible for working with staff, volunteers, students and other community partners to implement all aspects of the program, increase enrolment and development of the After School Program. The coordinator will be responsible for measuring and evaluating the programs.

The successful candidate(s) for this position will possess the following qualifications:

  • A graduate of a post-secondary child/youth related field such as Early Childhood Educator, Sport and Leisure, Child and Youth, Social Worker, Psychology, Sociology, Kinesiology and the likes.
  • Knowledge in healthy eating for development of healthy behaviors.
  • Knowledge in adapting physical activity opportunities to include children and youth at all levels of athletic availability and those with physical, sensory or intellectual disability.
  • Experience in behavioral management, in-conflict resolution, and effective practices and strategies.
  • Experience with program planning, implementation, budget and evaluation of ASP program
  • Able to supervise, coach and evaluate ASP staff
  • Can lead activities and is familiar with curricular resources on integrating physical activity;
  • Strong organizational and program management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks;
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office software – Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Independent, self-motivated and comfortable working with children and youth
  • Full G Driver’s License.
  • High Five Certification in Principles of Healthy Child Development 100
  • Current Standard First Aid with CPR and AED Level C
  • Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance issued by local police station
