Job Title: After School Program Facilitator
Contract Part-Time Position (up to 15 hours per week/Monday-Friday 2:45-5:45 pm)
Contract Start date: September 2, 2025: Contract End date: June 25, 2026
Reports to: Middle Years Coordinator, Child and Family Centre

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The After-School program runs from 2:45pm-5:45pm, 5 days a week, at 10 separate locations throughout the Steeles L’amoreaux and Dorset Park neighbourhoods. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, Child and Family, After School Program Facilitator will be working with children ages 4-12 and focusing on physical activity, healthy eating, health and wellness, and cultural activities and homework support. The program is in-person.

Responsibilities

· ASP Facilitators program plan, implement, ensuring availability of materials and content, and ensuring all programs are relevant to children (4-12 years) and compliant with funder and ACSA’s policies and practices
· Being responsible for the safety and well being of each program participant and maintaining safe and clean environment
· Responsible for daily attendance records, reviewing site specific safety protocols and relevant administrative tasks
· Ensuring budget compliance and purchasing of program supplies
· Pick up snack, when necessary, from the Child and Family Centre
· Using a positive framework when addressing behaviours and challenges
· Working alongside additional staff (Placement Students and volunteers), while engaged in the program
· Building positive relationships with program participants, parents/caregivers and TDSB/TCDSB staff
· Respecting confidentiality of information received.
· Maintaining professional conduct at all times
· Develop and maintain strong communication with reporting supervisor
· Mandatory availability to attend weekly and or monthly meetings on weekdays
· Perform other such duties as may be assigned
