Welcome to Kinder Kampus! We are a locally owned and operated award winning child care company with 5 beautiful facilities in Port Moody and Anmore, BC.
We are seeking individuals for part time positions starting this September in our Before/After School Care program working with School Aged Children (Kindergarten through Grade 5). The ideal candidate also has their Class 5 drivers license for a minimum of 6 months and would be willing to get their Class 4 drivers license.
We have morning and afternoon positions left to fill to complete our teams from 7-9am and 2:15/2:30 - 6:00pm at our Heritage Mountain and Pleasantside locations. Additionally, we are seeking substitute after school leaders for our 3 locations.
The ideal candidate must be creative, innovative and eager to take initiative with programming and have adequate verbal communication skills. Additionally, the perfect candidate would be excited, confident and capable to work in a classroom, outdoor or gymnasium setting with groups of students to lead and supervise activities where they can implement a creative and fun program in an active and nurturing atmosphere. This position is ideal for qualified Responsible Adult or Early Childhood Educator Assistant individuals who are passionate and excited about working with children, the field of Early Childhood Education or University students who are working towards a degree in education. The qualified candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside a fun team of after school care leaders in our wonderful classroom, gymnasium and outdoor settings at our Heritage Mountain, Eagle Mountain and Pleasantside Kinder Kampus locations!
We are looking to fill before and after school care positions from 3 to 5 days a week. With the opportunity for more hours if wanted with subbing in our daycare and preschool facilities during the mornings/days or working longer hours on Professional Days and during school break times such as Spring Break, Winter Break and Summer Break. This is a perfect opportunity for students needing to complete work experience or part-time hours! We switch up our schedule every semester as many of our teachers are post secondary students.

Qualifications:
- An asset to have some experience in a Group Child Care Setting/Working with children in a classroom, group or sports environment
- Must have a clear Criminal Record Check (Company Provided & Paid for)
- 3 Professional or Character References
-Must be 19 years of age or older
-Must have a completed a course related to childcare/child development or the 20 hour Responsible Adult Certificate or Early Childhood Education Assistant License
Preferred Qualifications:
- Willingness to complete Class 4 Drivers License (paid by company - wage incentive)
- First Aid (Emergency Child Care)
- Food Safe Certificate

• Supervise and engage children in various activities after school, ensuring a safe and positive environment.
• Assist in fostering educational development.
• Implement early childhood education principles to support children’s growth.
• Maintain communication with parents and staff regarding children’s progress and needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including First Aid and FoodSafe standards.
• Drive children to and from activities as required, utilizing Class 4 or Class 5 Licence.
