Kamaʻāina Kids, Hawaiʻi’s largest locally owned nonprofit serving children and families, is seeking an experienced After School Site Coordinator to lead daily program operations at our Makalapa site. This role is ideal for current or former teachers, instructional aides, paraprofessionals, after-school coordinators, youth program leaders, or experienced Group Leaders who want to lead a team while staying hands-on with children. About the Role As an After School Site Coordinator, you’ll take the lead on program operations, staff support, and family communication—while still being actively involved with keiki each afternoon. You’ll use your classroom or after-school experience to create a structured, engaging, and welcoming environment through activities such as: Supporting homework time and guiding structured academic enrichment Leading hands-on STEM projects, arts & crafts, and cooking activities Supervising outdoor play, group games, and sports Helping children transition smoothly from the school day to after-school care Coaching and supporting Group Leaders to ensure consistency and quality Building strong relationships with families, school staff, and partners Maintaining program safety, organization, and positive behavior support Why Kamaʻāina Kids?
