BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for the overall safety and security of each child within their care while providing a safe and fun environment through games, activities, cooperative play and outings throughout the daily operations of the after school program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Must be 18 years or older
· High School Diploma
· Must be dynamic, energetic and enjoy working with children
· Must pass a criminal background check
· Experience working in a diverse environment
· Bilingualism: English/ French
· First aid and CPR certification (an asset) or willing to complete a training
· Strong organization and activity planning and implementation skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.10-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 25 per week

· Directly responsible for the safety and security of your assigned group of children
· Plan, implement, supervise and animate activities for your group of children in person or online
· Must participate in all activities and outings with the children
· Conflict management and implementation of a positive form of discipline when working with children
· Walk a group of children directly from their school to BGC Dawson
· Perform other assigned tasks as requested by supervisor or leadership staff
· Ability to always interact in a positive and professional manner
