The Philadelphia School (TPS) is excited to announce an opening for a STEAM Coordinator in our After School Enrichment Program (ASEP). If you consider yourself to be an enthusiastic, organized, and collaborative person, you may be perfect for this role which involves creating and maintaining engaging, age appropriate STEAM programming, project management, and leading hands-on educational activities. Reporting to and working in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Auxiliary Programs, key responsibilities include: Develop and implement a dynamic STEAM curriculum aligned with school values and student needs. Lead hands-on daily STEAM activities for groups of 10 - 30 students Collaborate with the ASEP team, Special Programs Coordinator, and the TPS STEAM and tech departments on them development and program planning Research curriculum themes and integrate into programming Prepare, organize, and maintain all STEAM materials and supplies Contribute to the design of theme schedules and special programs. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and in-service days. The qualifications we are looking for: Associate degree in a related field (required) Knowledgeable in science, engineering and math Minimum of two years of teaching experience (required) Understanding of curriculum development and programming Strong classroom management skills Demonstrated experience in instructing groups and tracking learning outcomes The right combination of traits for effective instruction and programming including tact, resourcefulness, reliability, friendliness, emotional intelligence, punctuality, and professionalism. Ability to prioritize and complete assigned project tasks efficiently Experience in administrative or program coordination Passionate about working with children and cultivating a love of lifelong learning Organized, adaptable, collaborative, and tech-savvy, particularly with Apple applications Ability to lift up to 20lbs and maintain mobility throughout the day Monday to Friday availability Why Join Us? Additional Details This is a part-time Monday - Friday (or designated schedule) position Hours are 3:00-6:00pm through June. Pay rate is $15 - 20 per hour, depending on education and experience.
