Description We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as an After School Teacher and Van Driver. This dual-role position involves providing a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children after school hours, as well as safely transporting students to and from designated locations. Key Responsibilities Supervise and engage children in educational and recreational activities during after school hours. Develop and implement lesson plans and activities that promote learning and social development. Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. Drive the company van to transport students safely to and from school and other approved locations. Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly. Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving. Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and supervisors regarding student progress and transportation schedules. Assist with attendance tracking and record keeping as needed. Work Schedule Monday through Friday 12:30pm-6:30pm. Full time hours available during ISD breaks (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Summer) If you are passionate about working with children and have the skills to safely transport students, please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your qualifications and experience. Requirements At least 1 year experience working in a licensed child care center or licensed after school program High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in early childhood education or related field preferred. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting. Ability to drive a passenger van safely and responsibly. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain. Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings. Reliable, punctual, and able to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

Responsibilities

This dual-role position requires supervising and engaging children in educational and recreational after-school activities while ensuring their safety and maintaining a welcoming environment. Additionally, the employee must safely transport students using the company van, adhering to all traffic laws and performing necessary vehicle inspections.
