Oxford Learning in Milton has an opening for an Aftercare Teacher. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with students in grades 1 to 8 in a healthy nourishing environment. The candidate must be enthusiastic, passionate about learning, and must have strong communication and organizational skills. Our Aftercare Teacher must work with his/her students to ensure that their homework is completed and they are safe until they are picked up by their parents. They must also demonstrate the ability to plan, organize, and facilitate engaging and developmentally appropriate activities for students.

A great candidate for this position will possess the following skills:

  • Strong English language written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong ability to organize and multi-task, work independently and take initiative.
  • Confident and energetic.
  • Follow the Oxford curriculum and guidelines.
  • Passionate about making a difference for every child that they work with.

  • Love working with children at all levels.
  • Must be a dedicated and passionate individual who thrives on seeing students succeed.

We Require:

  • Bachelor of Education degree and in good standing with OCT and/or ECE certificate preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred.
  • Criminal record check a must.
  • First Aid Training is an asset.
  • Flexibility in scheduling. Available all weekdays from 2:45pm to 6:00pm.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to commit to 2025-2026 school year.
  • Be able to start as soon as possible for training.
