To strengthen our Sales team in KZN - Durban, we’re looking to recruit a

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge and experience in cooling tower products and techniques, continuous improvement, project management and customer satisfaction
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales and servicing environment within an engineering field (preferably relating to cooling towers)
  • Ability to work independently and remotely to drive results without day-to-day direction
  • Ensuring that the connection between BAC and customers are maintained by service delivery and communication
  • Qualification related to position in sales, engineering or NQF level 5
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Computer Literate
  • Ability and set up to work remotely
  • Ability to communicate and present internally and to / with customer organisations
  • Customer relationship building as well as good interpersonal relations
  • Understanding of basic financial management
  • Well organized and sound planning skills
Responsibilities

The Aftermarket Sales Engineer works closely with Sales and Customers on all aftermarket sales servicing, as well as with suppliers, administration and finance departments to facilitate the completion of projects.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Provide a service to customers and marketing through site inspections, customer consultations, preparation of quotes, follow-up and technical advice
  • Facilitate contracts from start to completion including on site project management as required
  • Lease and program work with the customer’s site representative
  • Investigate, program and execute warranty work as required
  • Co-ordinate and engage suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Identify work to be invoiced
  • Approve suppliers and sub-contractors invoice / progress claims
  • Ensure EHS procedures and manuals are in place and compliant with legislation
  • Ensure adequate stock and spare parts are available
  • Execute and monitor ongoing preventative maintenance contracts
  • Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required

Additional Information: Location includes working remotely (no offices in KZN) and onsite at customer premises.
