Altruck International Truck Centres is currently seeking a Heavy Duty Parts Advisor for its Kitchener location.
The hours of this position are Monday – Friday, 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm.

SUMMARY

As a Heavy Duty Truck Parts Advisor, you will be responsible for selling replacement parts and equipment. You will locate the necessary parts and equipment and dispense them to Service Technicians, other businesses and to the public.

Responsibilities
  • Project a positive attitude for the benefit of our customers and fellow employees.
  • Inspect damaged parts brought in by customers to determine the proper replacement.
  • Identify the necessary part on the basis of the customer’s description of the trouble.
  • Examine returned parts for defects and confer with customers about exchanging the part or refunding their money.
  • Suggest a part that is interchangeable, place a special order for the part, or refer the customer elsewhere, if a customer needs a part that is not stocked.
  • Unpack and mark incoming parts and store them in the stockroom according to a prearranged system.
  • Receive and fill telephone orders, emails and e-commerce.
  • Take inventory, including cycle counts.
  • Attend dealer-specified and/or factory-sponsored training courses, and complete “e-learn” courses as scheduled by management.
