Description SHIFT: Mondays thru Fridays 4:00 PM to 6:15 PM Do you love working with young children and being part of those big end-of-day smiles? Merritt Academy is looking for warm, energetic professionals who are passionate about early childhood and excited to make a positive impact—one pickup at a time. Our Preschool Runners play a key role in our school community by safely and joyfully escorting children from their classrooms to their parents at the end of the day. You will be a friendly face families look forward to seeing and an important part of each child’s daily routine. If you enjoy staying active, connecting with children, and being part of a supportive, mission-driven school, we would love to meet you. Requirements In order to be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements, including: A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day. Experience working with children preferred. Must be physically able to lift and carry a minimum of 45 pounds, engage in physical activity with children, and work indoors or outdoors. Must be able to constantly move and interact with the children to provide stimulation and develop relationships. Must be able to alternate often between sitting and standing. Must be able to maintain sight and sound of the children at all times. Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Pass pre-employment screenings and trainings as required.
Responsibilities
Preschool Runners are responsible for safely escorting children from their classrooms to their parents at the end of the day. They play a key role in creating a positive end-of-day experience for children and families.
