AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM TEACHER

Are you passionate about working with children and supporting their growth through yoga and mindful activities? We are seeking an Afterschool Program Teacher to lead engaging programs for children ages 6–8, Monday–Friday (2–5 days per week) from 2:30–5:30 pm.
This role includes driving from 2:30–3:15 pm to pick up children from school and bring them back to the studio. A special license is not required—just a valid driver’s license & clean driving record, as you’ll be driving a regular van.
If you are enthusiastic, patient, and experienced with children, this is a unique chance to inspire and guide young minds while fostering their overall development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working directly with school-aged children, preferably in an educational or childcare setting.
  • Proven leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, patient, and flexible – traits that resonate well with children.
  • Availability to work from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm during the week (2 to 5 days as per the schedule).
  • A background or interest in yoga and mindfulness is a plus.
  • Commitment to creating a nurturing and enriching environment for children’s growth.
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour

Responsibilities

1: Yoga and Mindful Activities: Lead age-appropriate yoga and mindfulness sessions designed to enhance children’s physical and mental well-being (lesson plans will be provided by Üphoria)
2. Supervision: Provide a safe and supportive environment, ensuring the well-being and safety of children during program hours.
3. Indoor Activities: Organize and engage children in indoor mindful activities.
4. Leadership: Demonstrate strong leadership skills, encouraging participation and fostering a positive atmosphere within the group.
5. Team and Individual Settings: Collaborate with fellow team members and also demonstrate the ability to work independently when needed.
6. Yoga Background: While a yoga background is an asset, it is not required. A genuine interest in yoga and mindfulness is essential.
7. Weekly Lesson Plans: Follow and implement weekly lesson plans provided by Üphoria to ensure a structured and enriching program experience.
