Armed Forces Talent Programme – Workforce Administrator – 6 month Paid Placement

  • Are you an experienced administrator with good organisational skills?

As part of the Armed Forces Talent Programme, NHS 24 is offering a 6-month paid placement to join our Workforce Directorate. The successful candidate will work closely with the Associate Director of Workforce to build capacity across the Directorate by streamlining and enhancing administrative processes.

Responsibilities

THIS ROLE

This role supports all 3 teams that make up the Workforce Directorate including Resourcing and Planning, People Services and Organisational Development, Leadership and Learning. There will also be the opportunity to support our Practice Education team.
This Administrator role plays a pivotal part in supporting the operational and governance functions of the Workforce Directorate. The postholder will work across a broad range of activities that contribute to the efficiency, compliance, and digital transformation of workforce processes.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish a structured digital approach to Workforce governance meetings and reports, with automated scheduling, reminders, and follow-ups to enhance transparency and accountability across all governance activities.
  • Coordinate and plan complex HR-related meetings and activities, such as disciplinary hearings, grievance procedures, and formal consultations. This includes managing schedules, preparing documentation, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring all processes are handled with confidentiality, accuracy, and sensitivity.
  • Coordinating and preparing agendas, papers, and minutes for directorate-led workstreams.
  • Support digital initiatives that streamline HR processes, such as implementing electronic forms, dashboards, and automated reporting.
