SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Certificate III Individual Support
• Current first aid certificate and valid driver’s license (preferred).
• Updated Police clearance – Not older than 6months
• Hand Hygiene Certificate
• Vaccinations
• NDIS Workers Screening Check
• Communication module
• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for helping others.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of disability services, policies, and regulations

THE ROLE:

We are seeking compassionate and motivated Aged and Disability Carer to join our team. In You will be providing practical and emotional support to people with disabilities, promoting their independence and enhancing their quality of life. You will work collaboratively to deliver individualised care plans and facilitate opportunities for skill development and community participation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• accompanying aged and disabled clients during daily activities
• assisting clients with their mobility
• preparing food for clients
• arranging social activities
• performing housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming and cleaning
• assisting in personal hygiene and dressing
• providing companionship, friendship and emotional support
• may do shopping and run errands
• may live in with the person
