We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Part-time/Casual Cook to prepare nutritious, delicious meals for our aged care residents in Torquay. You’ll be part of a supportive kitchen team dedicated to creating meals that bring comfort, health, and enjoyment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve meals in line with seasonal menus and dietary requirements.
  • Cater for residents with special dietary needs, including texture-modified meals.
  • Ensure food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness at all times.
  • Monitor meal quality, presentation, and portion consistency.
  • Work collaboratively with chefs, kitchen staff, and care teams.

Skills & Experience

  • Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
  • Previous cooking experience in aged care, healthcare, or hospitality.
  • Knowledge of special diets (e.g., IDDSI, allergies, cultural requirements).
  • Ability to work as part of a team with a positive and flexible approach.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Current National Police Check.
  • Up-to-date Flu Vaccination.
  • Up-to-date COVID-19 Vaccination (as per government requirements).
  • Food Handlers Certificate
