Northern Disability and Aged Care provides home and community-based care services to older people. We are seeking reliable, compassionate and experienced Aged Care Workers / Personal Care Workers to support older clients to live safely and independently in their homes and community.

Role Overview

The role involves providing practical and personal support to older clients based on their individual needs, care arrangements and service schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting clients with personal care, including showering, grooming, dressing and hygiene support
  • Domestic assistance, including light cleaning, laundry and household tasks
  • Transport support for appointments, shopping and community access
  • Supporting clients with daily routines and independence at home
  • Following care plans and reporting any changes in client needs or risks
  • Maintaining accurate shift notes and communication records
  • Providing respectful, person-centred and culturally appropriate care
  • Following workplace health and safety, infection control and privacy requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in aged care, home care, community care or a similar support role
  • A caring, respectful and reliable approach
  • Ability to work independently in clients’ homes
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Current Australian driver licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
  • Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain
  • National Police Check or willingness to obtain
  • First Aid and CPR certificate, or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekdays and some weekends if required
