We are looking for an Agency Manager for Loan Agency DK , under Investment Banking, LC&I.
Loan Agency DK unit is a pan Nordic business unit, with corporate client scope ranging from large multinationals within L C&I to mid-cap companies within Business Banking across Nordic.
Based in Copenhagen, you will join a team of three colleagues and additional three others in Stockholm. You will act as deal executioner and portfolio manager, working closely with loan origination, syndication teams across Corporate Loans, Leverage Finance and Project & Renewable Finance, Real Estate , to pitch, obtain and maintain agency mandates on behalf of Danske Bank A/S.
You will have responsibility starting from deal mandate until loan repayment and commitment termination in compliance with Danske’s policies and procedures as well as Loan Market Association’s standards and praxis. Since the agent has a legal status in a loan agreement, you as Agency Manager will have signing power of attorney to sign loan agreements as agent, representing not only Danske Bank but also the rest of bank syndicate.

TASK DESCRIPTION:

The agent is the contact point of entry for the borrowers in syndicated loan facilities but acts on behalf of the lenders. Your main daily tasks are:

• Reviewing loan agreement drafts to ensure that the operational clauses comply with Danske’s internal policies and procedures as well as the Loan Market Association standards and praxis
• Coordinating loan agreements’ signing, on behalf of Danske Bank A/S as agent
• Confirming Conditions Precedents and Conditions Subsequent for loan disbursements
• Handing over new loan deals to Loan Admin team for loan operation purpose
• Coordinating closing
• Coordinating amendments and waivers to the existing loan agreements
• Collecting and distributing of financial information between borrowers and lenders
• Security agency (taking up securities, release securities on maturity dates)

You will have contacts with internal and external stakeholders across Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland. You shall front towards the borrowers, and lenders when communicating under the syndicated loan agreement.

CANDIDATES’ PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGES:

You have an academic degree, preferably in Business law or Finance.
As an Agency Manager you may have a background from relationship management, loan operations etc. You may have worked with reviewing, implementing loan documentation with familiarity of loan products. You shall understand loan operational industry standards as set out by Loan Market Association (LMA).
Your job responsibility will entail project leadership, planning, and change management techniques, all these come down to communication skills. You need to communicate proactively, in particular respond quickly. When dealing with various internal and external stakeholders, interest conflicts may surge - you shall be able to work with focus, integrity and can justify various situations and deal with conflicts in a cautious, and considerate manner. You are self-driven and have an eye for details, with strong commitment and service mind. You seek for solutions, rather than get stuck on problems.
The loan documents are written in English. Besides your strong English language skills, proficiency in one of Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish language is required. Finnish language skill is particularly appreciated.
