Staff pay EU tax at source but salaries are exempt from national taxes. Compulsory deductions are made for medical insurance, pension and unemployment insurance.

Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE POST

The incumbent will be responsible for providing support for handling and coordinating Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and will assist in the preparation of data protection impact assessments. This role provides support in ensuring compliance with applicable data protection laws by processing requests efficiently, accurately, and in line with regulatory requirements.

2. FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

The incumbent carries out the following main functions and duties:

  • Log, verify, and track DSARs in accordance with legal timelines;
  • Liaise with different entities across Europol to gather relevant data and documents needed to respond to DSARs;
  • Maintain accurate records of all DSAR activity, including correspondence, response timelines, and outcomes;
  • Support audits and reporting performed by the EDPS and generate DSAR statistics as requested;
  • Assist in the preparation of data protection impact assessments by supporting risk assessment and implementation of security measures;
  • Provide administrative data protection-related support, including responding to internal queries on data protection procedures and offering initial guidance on records of processing activities and privacy statements;
  • Perform any other duties in the area of competence as assigned by line management.
