Description POSITION SUMMARY: It is the primary responsibility of the Surveillance Agent to monitor the casino and associated gaming areas via Closed Circuit Television (CCTV)/digital recording systems using direct observation techniques to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental, property, and company policies, practices, and procedures. Top 5 Specific Job Functions: Operates Surveillance equipment to ensure accurate video documentation concerning irregularities or deviations from normal activities in all areas of responsibility. Write factual reports about abnormal activity observed and ensure compliance with video review. Remains current on all activities that threaten the security of the hotel, guests, and employees Monitors assigned areas continuously to ensure complete coverage. Ensures at all times that the “Confidentiality Rules” are observed and enforced. Other Specific Job Functions: Successful passing of surveillance examinations that reflect current/actual job knowledge when administered by management as outlined in current procedures. Requirements REQUIRED: At least 2 years of experience working in a gaming surveillance department or table games Working knowledge of all areas, including but not limited to policies, procedures, cheating methods, and advantage play systems for all departments Working knowledge of a minimum of four Table Games, with the ability to evaluate for cheating methods Working knowledge of gaming regulations Excellent customer service skills Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts Professional appearance and demeanor Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays High school diploma or equivalent Working knowledge of various computer technologies and software is necessary, including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms PREFERRED: Working knowledge of iTrak Previous experience working in a similar resort setting CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Gaming Registration PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have the physical ability to access all areas of the facility; move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects; withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying items weighing at least 50 lbs. without restriction. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure; work indoors and outdoors, as well as being exposed to hot/cold surfaces, steam, and wet floors. Most work tasks are performed indoors; however, there are events where outdoor activities are required. Indoor temperatures are moderate and controlled by internal environmental systems.
