We are seeking a Lead Data Engineer to drive the vision and strategy for cutting-edge data platforms in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You will coordinate multiple projects, define reference architectures, and ensure governance, compliance, and sustainability across data solutions. Your expertise will enable high-performance AI and analytics initiatives, while you lead teams, mentor talent, and guide technical decision-making. Accountabilities: Develop and implement a lakehouse strategy, defining standards, roadmaps, and best practices for Fabric, Delta Lake, mirroring, and Unity Catalog. Coordinate technical aspects across multiple projects, harmonizing architectures, monitoring quality, optimizing resources, and managing costs. Evaluate innovative Azure features, including LakeFlow, AI-powered pipeline designers, and Fabric integrations for effective adoption. Conduct risk, compliance, and governance assessments, ensuring data protection and security standards are met. Lead, coach, and mentor teams, fostering a learning-oriented and inclusive culture. Participate in pre-sales and strategic consulting activities, presenting technical solutions to C-level stakeholders. 7+ years of experience in data engineering and cloud data platform architecture, with proven leadership skills. Deep expertise in lakehouse architectures, mirroring, Delta Lake, Fabric, and governance processes. Strong strategic thinking, change management, and stakeholder management abilities.
