Wati, the AI-Powered Customer Engagement Platform for Revenue Grow About the Role We are looking for an Agentic Engineer – build, scale, and support the backend systems that power our product experiences. In this role, you will develop backend services, APIs, business logic, and supporting infrastructure that enable reliable, secure, and scalable customer-facing capabilities. You will work in an engineering environment that actively uses AI agents and tools like Cursor in day-to-day development, and you are expected to use these tools effectively to ship faster while maintaining high quality. This role is a strong fit for an engineer who enjoys backend problem-solving, building reliable distributed systems, and working with agent-assisted development practices. You should be comfortable owning features end to end, contributing to production support when needed, and collaborating closely with product and cross-functional engineering teams. What You Will Do Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs. Develop scalable application logic, data flows, and service-side integrations. Build production-ready systems using technologies such as Go, C#, Node.js, Python, and MongoDB where appropriate. Use AI Tools like Cursor and agent-assisted workflows to accelerate coding, debugging, refactoring, documentation, and delivery. Write maintainable, testable, and observable code with attention to correctness, performance, and reliability. Investigate production issues, participate in incident handling, and contribute to sustainable fixes and operational improvements. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into practical technical designs. Contribute to better engineering practices around code quality, release confidence, and service ownership. Ensure reliability, performance, and scalability of the infrastructure serving customers across 190+ countries
