The Association of Former Students is a designated non-profit employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness student loan program. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Accurately learn and use point of sale software. Meet deadlines. Process orders and review for accuracy. Focus on customer success in all tasks. Timely and accurate response to phone and email inquiries. Willingness and ability to learn new point-of-sale software. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Point-of-sale for Aggie Ring orders. Complete approximately 30 to 35 Ring orders during each day’s shift. Answer technical questions regarding academic requirements prior to ordering. Ensure that each buyer feels our support and excitement about their Ring. Evaluate confidential records to determine eligibility to purchase an Aggie Ring. Assist with locating rightful owner of found Aggie Rings. Update biographical information in The Association’s database after each interaction. Prepare inventory by unpacking, inspecting, organizing or shipping Aggie Rings. Share with customers the achievements and contributions of The Association to the Aggie community. This position may be assigned other duties from time to time that align with the education, knowledge, skills and experience outlined in this job description. EMPLOYEES OF THE ASSOCIATION OF FORMER STUDENTS Participate in various Association-wide activities such as engagement and fundraising goals, internal event teams, task committees, attending gameday receptions, Distinguished Alumni Gala and other external events as required. Serve as an ambassador by meeting our Team Expectations, fostering relationships with students and other constituents of Texas A&M. Exemplify Our Core Values: Respect, Excellence, Loyalty, Leadership, Integrity, Service. Requirements KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE (Minimum Requirements) Two years in a customer-facing role. One year working with point-of-sale software (processing credit card payments). PHYSICAL CAPACITY REQUIREMENTS Ability to sit or stand for long periods on occasion and carry objects up to 20 pounds.
