EXPERIENCE LEVEL:

Entry Level

You will be on a development pathway to guide your growth into the role of Software Architecture and Integration Engineer and can expect to be involved in the following:

• Development of Real Time System Mission System Software for projects such as Eurofighter, Tornado, A400M and Collaborative Combat Aircraft.
• Integration and verification of Real Time Mission Systems for these projects.
• Using tools such as Vectorcast, Hardware in the Loop Testing, Artificial Intelligence.
• In the current shift to software defined defence you will contribute to embracing radical changes in the way of developing military systems.
• Learn how to design, code, integrate, verify and certify flying software to deliver mission functions for our airforces.
• Explore the application of globally recognised standards to develop software such as DO-178C, ARINC. etc. as well new cutting edge software development techniques.

Your development pathway will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into position. Depending on project need you will have the opportunity to spend 3 months on a rotation to the Avionic Joint Team in Warton, UK, at Connected Intelligence, Freidrichshafen or to travel to Getafe in Spain.
At the end of the 2 year development programme you will have developed into the position of Software Architecture and Integration Engineer!
