Description Aggregate Material Hauler A. Job Identification This position is responsible for the pickup, transport, and delivery of materials required to produce ready-mix concrete. This position reports to the Fleet Manager. B. Essential Job Functions Perform pre-trip inspection of the truck in accordance with DOT regulations Maneuver truck in a safe manner while at the loading quarry, during operation on all roads, and while unloading at plant locations Communicate with supervisor for assignment of scheduled quarry and materials to be loaded Communicate with scale house employees for designated material location Proceed to designated area to observe material for consistency and possible contamination, receive load Proceed to scale house to be weighed and receive load paperwork Transport materials to designated plant in a safe manner observing all laws and regulations Submit all materials-received documents to dispatcher/Batch Man at the end of shift Clean the exterior and interior of truck Perform the duties of Bulk Tanker driver, Aggregate Hauler, or other duties as assigned C. Additional Expectations Comply with all DOT regulations Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English Must have and maintain a valid Georgia issued Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License Must be able to pass required Federal Department of Transportation drug/alcohol screenings and physicals It is required to maintain a driving record in compliance with Federal and State Motor Carrier Regulations and company policy D. Physical Demands Physical ability to climb a ladder on the side of the dump bed approximately 10 feet high several times per day The driver must possess the ability to reach, push, shake, and pull with sufficient force if the cover tarp becomes entangled or twisted Drivers are required to wash and clean their trucks using brushes and hoses. This task involves climbing on the truck E. Environmental Conditions Must tolerate, with or without accommodation: Exposure to extreme weather conditions High noise levels and significant vibrations associated with construction equipment and overall job site activities May be exposed to potentially toxic and dangerous products and chemicals such as cement lime, concrete admixtures, dust, diesel fuel, and other potentially harmful products and chemicals F.
