POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Digital Strategy is seeking an Agile Business Analyst with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to provide support to federal clients in performing requirements gathering and systems analysis. The candidate will work with federal and contractor teams to understand system development needs and deliver requirements products and functional mock-ups for teams to develop against.
- Due to federal guidelines, US Citizenship is required and candidates must be able to pass a federal background check.

Specific duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage the Product Backlog: Work with the Product Owners and clients to create and refine work items in the backlog, including features and user stories with acceptance criteria.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document the business needs, processes, design (wireframes/mockups), and acceptance criteria for data analytics products.
  • Business Process Reengineering: Analyze existing business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend and implement optimized workflows that align with business goals. Facilitate workshops and discussions to map current processes and design improved ones.
  • Product Development Support: Work closely with developers to explain the product design, address their questions, and provide clarifications throughout the development process.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop test plans and test cases to ensure that the developed product meets the specified requirements. Conduct testing and troubleshoot issues, working with developers to rectify any defects.
  • Product Rollout: Participate in the rollout of new and enhanced products, including providing demo and support to end-users on how to effectively use the new products. Support the creation of training documents to aid in system adoption.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business, or similar majors.
  • Ten (10) years of total work experience; Master’s degree may be substituted for two (2) years of work experience.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in developing and delivering business/functional requirements, data analysis, and business process reengineering.
  • Skilled in translating complex business needs into well-defined user stories and features in collaboration with Product Owners and clients.
  • Experience with productivity tools such as MS Project and Visio.
  • Hands-on experience utilizing tools such as ADO or JIRA for managing and maintaining the Product Backlog, tracking tasks throughout the development lifecycle.
  • At least five (5) years of experience with data analysis and data visualization projects.
  • Ability to analyze complex systems, identify problems, and propose effective solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse teams and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address issues and challenges in system design and implementation.
  • Basic project management skills to manage timelines, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Due to federal project guidelines, US citizenship is a requirement.
