Description
SAIC is seeking an Agile Project Engineer / Scrum Master to guide day to day Agile execution for CMCC engineering teams. Operating under the Agile Lead, this role provides team level Agile facilitation, sprint organization, and engineering workflow coordination. The Agile Project Engineer ensures sprint commitments align with System Integration Process (SIP) requirements, facilitating collaboration between software, integration, DSOP, cloud, test, and cyber teams to maintain predictable, highquality delivery. SAIC is a trusted leader in delivering advanced command and control capabilities across the Department of the Air Force, bringing deep expertise in how cutting edge technologies are engineered, secured, and delivered to the fight. At the center of this mission, the Common Mission Control Center (CMCC) unifies data, sensors, mission applications, cloud based services, and emerging AI enabled automation to give warfighters a decisive edge—turning complex, multidomain information into fast, clear, and actionable decisions in the moments that matter most. The CMCC System Facilitator contract positions SAIC to accelerate how new capabilities are integrated, tested, secured, and transitioned into operational use, working side by side with operators, engineers, Capability Providers, and government teams to ensure every delivery strengthens mission readiness. This effort offers the chance to directly shape how the Air Force sees, decides, and acts across all domains—making a tangible and immediate impact on warfighter effectiveness.   This role will be located in Chantilly, VA, Beale AFB, CA or Colorado Springs, CO and will be hybrid remote. Job Responsibilites: * Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand‑ups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Reviews, Retrospectives) ensuring structured, outcomes‑driven execution.  * Work with Product Owners to refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and priority alignment with SIP milestones.  * Remove or escalate team‑level impediments; coordinate with the Agile Lead for issues.  * Track and report sprint metrics (velocity, throughput, cycle time, defect trends) and recommend improvements.  * Maintain Jira boards, workflows, dashboards, filters, and automation rules to support Agile transparency and flow.  * Help teams define and meet “Definition of Ready/Done” criteria, ensuring modeling, test, documentation, and security steps align with SIP gates.  * Coordinate cross‑functional dependencies with Cloud, Cyber, DSOP, Integration, and Test teams to ensure sprint deliverables meet release timelines.  * Assist technical teams with requirements clarification, interface management, and engineering task breakdown.  * Support PI Planning preparation, team breakouts, and alignment of sprint goals to Program Increment or Agile Release Train-level objectives.  * Promote Agile maturity through coaching, continuous improvement, and adoption of DevSecOps practices.  SAIC® [http://www.saic.com/] is a premier Fortune 500® mission integrator focused on advancing the power of technology and innovation to serve and protect our world.
