About this Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi We have an exciting new opportunity for an Agile Squad Lead / Project Manager to lead high-performing Agile squads and deliver impactful software development projects, all aligned with Theta’s proven delivery standards and methodology. This role blends hands-on project management with Agile leadership and coaching—perfect for someone who thrives on variety and challenges. Based in Auckland, you’ll work closely with our diverse customers, Product Owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. Your passion for adaptability, continuous improvement, and delivering real business value will shine as you drive momentum, inspire teams, and lead fast-paced technology projects that make a real impact. What You Will Do Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives Coach the squads and Product Owner in Agile practices Maintain delivery visibility using Agile tools and metrics Manage daily project operations, schedules, risks, issues, and changes Assign project resources, budgets, and profitability and keep documentation up to date Review Statements of Work and proposals Skills and Experience | Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako Bachelor’s degree in IT, business, or related field Certified in Agile practices (Scrum Master, SaFe Agilist) are essential with a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in Agile delivery Certified in Project Management (e.g., Prince2, PMP) Minimum of 3 years project management experience Proven experience delivering complex digital software projects from end-to-end Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Lean) Skilled in planning, estimation, risk, and issue management Proficient in Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) About us | Mō mātou We have 30 years of experience as a New Zealand-owned technology consultancy.
