SAIC is seeking an Agile Systems Engineer to support SAIC’s Prime Program, Landmark AOS in Chantilly, VA. Landmark AOS is SAIC's large SETA program, supporting the NRO’s Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle. The Agile Systems Engineer will exhibit flexibility in task execution, provide technical/professional expertise on a variety of Agile Systems Engineering topics (e.g., schedule management, requirements, readiness, verification and validation, etc.), and advise the government on program office activities to enable end-to-end closure for programs. Job Responsibilities to include: Serve as the technical expert for the development, maintenance, and assessment of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in support of agile software acquisition activities. Interact with Government project management and functional managers to define scope of work for projects, and develop and update detailed schedules and roadmaps. Proactively develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules throughout the acquisition lifecycle, from initiation through planning, execution, and delivery phases. Integrate developer schedules to generate and maintain an accurate Organization-level master schedule Coordinate project level impact analyses of proposed engineering changes. Identify and communicate key architecture and system level trades, system engineering risks, issues, opportunities, and dependencies. Evaluate project schedule progress and performance, identify any variances, and highlight developing problem areas. Analyze critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommend work-arounds. Document completion of solution and program epics and verify new functionality is ready for transition into operations in support of Ground closure. Support agile quarterly cyclic planning and delivery cadence for the program office. Contribute to agile process evolution across Government teams, development contractors, user engagement teams, and stakeholders based upon best practices for schedule management and agile program management. Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, science, or related discipline and three (3) years of experience is required. Significant applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with Polygraph Experience in organizing, implementing and maintaining roadmaps and schedules for multiple program technical branches. Ability to identify schedule slips and resource constraints, track metrics against schedule baselines, and provide recommendations to maintain schedule integrity and viability. Experience with agile methods (Scrum, SAFe) in a software development environment or formal agile training Ability to apply organizational, planning, management, problem solving & execution skills to multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to analyze program data and prepare and present various types of reports to all levels of Management Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Demonstrated capability and success working in team environments. Good working knowledge of MS Office applications.
