Within a small independent East London pub group, The Leytonstone Tavern is a popular, friendly neighbourhood dining pub, focusing on hospitality and service excellence. We’re looking for an experienced General Manager to join an ambitious management team at an independent pub.
The Tavern is known for its incredible menu of burgers and taco’s, serving day time and evening, 6 days a week, with the addition of course of our ever popular roasts on Sunday. As part of the Sustainable Restaurant Association, we source direct from high welfare and Regenerative Agriculture. Using the best possible produce is a huge part of our offering. We’re fortunate enough to have recently won an award at the Street Food Championships, and made the finals of the National Burger Awards.
As a free-house, we pride ourselves in working exclusively with local breweries, wine merchants focussing on small independent producers, as well as supporting and collaborating with independent alcoholic brands, such as Tiempo Tequila.
With a dedicated event space and garden, we also focus on hosting events, including BBQs, weddings and celebrations with bespoke menu’s, as well as curating an interesting events programme throughout the year, such as craft beer festivals and tequila tasting. Our taco and burger trucks are now in use at various festivals and external events throughout the summer months.
We are looking for a Assistant General Manager / Restaurant Supervisor to take on the responsibilities to ensure the smooth running of the bar and restaurant during service, as well as assist in the day to day duty manager tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, providing exemplary customer service, managing day to day bookings and monitoring staff performance. The successful candidates will also be responsible for ensuring that all safety regulations are followed and that the back of house areas are kept clean and organized. The ideal candidates should have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
